What's for dinner ? Yahoo Food has the answer

Yahoo has launched a new site Yahoo Food devoted to food. It has recipes, cooking guide, celebrity advice and more. Users can search recipes arranged by occasion, cuisine type or ingredients. Kitchen novices can also watch one of the dozens of food video available in the site before trying their hand in the kitchen. Currently most watched video is the one on cooking turkey.

According to press release Yahoo has teamed up with a number of partners who will share video and informational content throughout the site to provide consumers with an in-depth food experience. The site will initially provide service to US market and Yahoo plans to enter other English speaking countries like Canada, Australia.

Yahoo hopes that the site will attract vast social network of people who share a common interest around food and will drive their revenue from advertisement. But the question is how many people will like to go online before or during cooking ? How many people will like to have a laptop in kitchen ? And how to navigate the site with flour in hand ?
